I Like to Think my Soul is Blue

I like to think my soul is blue.  Not blue like old faded jeans or tear drops or soft dreary music, but blue like the starry arms of the milky-way, the tumultuously turning tides, the glowing promise of the future, the shadows of friends under a sunset.  Blue is timeless.  Blue lives for the future while not forgetting the past and not being bound by either in the present. The Pros and Cons of Being a Blue Platypus

Hello!  Before you read, I just want you to know that this is a fictional short story.  Some aspects of my main character are based on a neurological phenomenon known as synesthesia (basically one or more senses are neurologically linked to another) but my character’s condition is extremely exaggerated and does not, nor was meant to, portray how someone with synesthesia would actually act or think.  With that out of the way, on with the show!

Why is it that broken people are so clingy when you let them in, even just a little?  Maybe, it’s because they’re trying to find the support that was somehow stolen from them.  You’d guess that I of all people would know, I’ve been broken too many time to count, but that’s just one of my questions that I’ve never been able to answer and never able to forget. I Guess I’m Part of the Internet Now

Hello world! Look, before I even begin, I want to make this clear.  I’m terrible at introductions.  First impressions, too.  With that out of the way, on with the show!

I am writing this from one of the most magical places I know.  My house.  Yep.  Secure wifi, food, a heating system and no one telling me I can’t be in my pajamas.  This is just me and the screen delving into worlds that might not be seen (*cough*fictional*cough*).

Now, a while back I thought it would be really cool to be a You Tuber.  I could make people laugh and just be me!

Yeah.  Nice thought, little me.  I can officially say, I am much better at typing than talking (though spell check might disagree).

Regardless of my change of mind, I plan on running this blog like the variety shows of You Tube.  Lots of jokes.  Lots of weirdness.  And of course the ever present strange looks from really anyone who has the fortune (whether good or bad) to stumble upon this.

If my writing can make you smile, I will feel like I have succeeded.  Writing, for me, is a way to share and inspire, and I love to know my audience, so feedback would be highly appreciated.

I do intend to write fiction frequently as my life primarily consists in my head  and always has but you will get the odd non-fiction, inside-scoop from time to time.  I want to add something new every week but, well, this is life and last I checked, this won’t be a substantial career for me to live off of.  So if for some reason you find yourself enjoying my babbling, I apologize now for any delays a peculiar thing called “priorities” might cause.

So basically, I just wanted to give this a try.  Explore my possibilities and maybe meet some new people and just live on the socially unadapted side a little more than I already do by communicating to others through a screen.

If you want to hear more from me, let me know!  I’ll also take suggestions as sometimes one’s brain is too mushy to come up with any of their own.

Till next type, see ya!
